ok...Saturday i receive a call from NTU engineering...and i'm like "oh my! I've got an interview...finally" i have to grab that chance....but...it din go well for me...wad's worst is that my sister isn't supportive of me...they are like...told u dun put engine and why did engine want to interview you. isn't the answer obvious...cos my results aren't that good...so i need an interview...and it's my last choice meaning tat no other course will accept me...i'm super annoyed by them.
when i went into the room, they were like sooo nice...but after a while they start asking me questions that i dun really know how to answer them...i'm faced wif a friendly guy and a stern guy...
soo they veri friendly guy started asking me questions...
Friendly Prof: introduce more abt yourself
Me: i do wad a normal teenage likes...like shopping, playing, hanging around...den they ask me abt my hobbies? soo i just answered properly...
Stern prof: do u like reading?
Me: Is newspapers considered? (i dun read a lot, wad else do u expect me to read? science books?)
then they started explaining a bit about the engineering faculty...
friendly prof: so which engineering side are u more interested in? and why?
Me: environmental engineering...cos the sector is opening up since everyone is like more less interested in saving the Earth...(pls...if i choose something shouldn't it be about earning)
friendly prof: den wad is your second choice and why?
Me: Civil engineering...cos some of my teachers are graduates from there?
then he started giving me a question on a ladder and ask me wad are the forces there...so i just answered normally...he was kinda alright wif my answer...
den here comes the tough part...
stern prof: why did u put engine as your last choice
me: cos i'm more interested in the arts side( but seriously if someone put it as the last choice they would least expect for that choice rite?)
stern prof: why did your results diff so much from O'levels?
me: i answered veri truthfully and i guess everyone would know y i did badly...
den there were many other questions abt my other choices...i think they can feel that i like the art side more...
wadeva lah...i din do well for it...that's all i know...sianz...like...i was given this chance...i really tried lah...i tried my best to show my interest for engineering...but then...it was really veri scary esp if u know this is might be your onli chance...sometimes the interviewers want truthful answers but the answers i give is truthful but it doesn't fulfill wad they want...so do they want a well-packaged answer? i'm soo sad i can't give them one...sad...
haiz...maybe god has other arrangements for me...maybe i'm not cut out to be an engineer lah...
i just have to wait for other school's reply...maybe i'm needed somewhere else...=(
